John does it again.

I love my family, even though I am thousands of miles away and we talk daily I can always count on my brother for a good Ashworth family story for the books.

Backstory: John is the youngest of the three Ashworth siblings, he recently graduated high school, found a job as dishwasher at a local banquet hall, and managed to get into community college. (I thought they might turn him away, but low and behold..) He became interested his freshman year of High School in Football, and really developed an attitude for pushing into things or shoving things over, whether accidently or intentionally. And over the years he just kept growing, and growing, and by the time he got to high school, he was about 6’6 and 280 lbs. What John John has in height and weight he lacks in common sense, don’t get me wrong he is a very smart guy, I think he is alot smarter than most of the guys he went to high school with, if he only applied himself a 1/4 of the time. John just does not think about things, consequences, cause and effect, and as much as he knows about cars, he should probably take a crash course on what to do when driving your car and in extreme conditions, such as rain, or heat: ((see my last years post about a car that he totaled last year with regard to the rain, and with regard to the heat, well lets get on with the story…))

I do not have any pictures of the event that took place, but let me start off by saying that John John was driving down the same country road that he had been traveling down a year ago prior, except this time there was an extreme heat wave hitting Maryland. Now the car that John John was driving was a 13- yr old Chevy Suburban which does have ALOT of Miles on it, so many in fact I will not mention. What happened prior to that was that John had noticed THIRTY minutes before that the car was overheating and sort of smoking? What would be the logical thing to do at this point John? So he kept driving and went down our country road which is a few miles from our house. At that time he saw flames, and John freaked out so he threw the car in park and jumped out as fast as he could. From what I gather next, the car went up in flames, I do not think the gas tank blew but everything was destroyed. The tires even melted. So the VFD came to help and the towed what is left with of the car. Last time this happened John totaled my mother’s Ford Expedition and put out the electricity in a 10 mi radius by running over a telephone pole because of the slick wet conditions.

The summary is John if you ever read this, 1) I can’t wait for the day that you start paying for your own car insurance 2) maybe try some mind/brain exercises 3) I still love you as your sister, sorry for embarrasing you.
