Christmas in Cali

My first San Diego Christmas with Jason and Bail-Bail was extremely wonderful. That is the only way to explain it. Luckily I had finished most of my shopping the week prior and shipped off my presents to the family so the week of Christmas I really didn’t have much to worry about. We did still need to put up a Christmas tree, but we got it up fine with a couple days to spare. The tree looked beautiful when finished. Bailey especially loved the tree, as he spent most of his time curled up underneath it.

Soon Christmas Eve arrived, and there was all too much to do. I had some last minute wrapping to do of Jason’s presents and some stocking stuffers to purchase. Jason went to the store as well and bought the roast for tomorrow’s Christmas dinner. I was excited as Jason wanted to go to Midnight mass with me and we found a nice church nearby. We went to this church in Old Town San Diego and the service was beautiful. We of course left some sugar cookies out for Santa that I made and some milk on the counter. Here’s a picture we took in front of the tree christmas eve:

Christmas Day we woke up rested and Bailey was ready to open his stocking. Santa left him lots of toys and a bone. He was very excited. Bailey nine years ago was my Christmas present from Santa and so he is the Christmas boy. I put a pretty bow on him and he strutted around all morning.

Jason and I exchanged presents one at a time, and opened them. I was so surprised that he got my favorite perfume. I got everything I asked for. He seemed to like everything I got him as well including the wallet, and he usually doesn’t like wallets. We watched christmas movies and his series that he got, “The Pacific” the remainder of the day.

It was a great day and a wonderful Christmas. Although I missed spending the day with my family, Jason made this day very special and so did Bailey. My first Christmas with them was everything I hoped it would be.
