This week has been challenging. I really wanted a vacation from my “vacation” to Maryland last weekend. No rest for the weary. Ella’s Football Season came to a close this past Saturday, luckily Hazel’s Cheer schedule is ramping up to 4-5 practices weekly in preparation for two upcoming cheer competitions. So this week, Ella turned in her pads, and we chauffeured Miss Daisy (Hazel) to her practices after school.
Hazel then caught a bug with fevers and some strange cough, missing two days of school, to be finally cleared yesterday to go back to school today. She even spent the whole night in her room last night and didn’t make a late night appearance as usual in our bed!

Highlights for the week for me, was coming home from dropping off Hazel for cheerleading, to find hubby nearly done with all the laundry folding! I was in so much shock that I tried not to hit the floor or make a witty comment. Very impressive Mr. Grant. He has the makings of Mr. Dad after all once retirement comes around in about a year. Another highlight was cleaning out and organizing Hazel’s closet, always an unexpected adventure. Finally, to top off the week with more remote work than office time this week. Post-walk and tying up end of the year data and reporting is oh so much fun. I do really enjoy it though. ‘

Despite Hazel’s sinus or respiratory virus, they found time to enjoy the beautiful FL fall weather. We are taking more walks, and the girls taking their bikes around the block while I try to contain the Chloe Monster. Chloe is probably benefitting most from the walking and cannot wait to get outside.
We are having a girls weekend this weekend, as Jason has some activities planned for himself and his friends. We are going to make waffles Saturday Morning, Pizza tonight, and crafts, church, possibly even Chucky Cheese with costumes on. The girls will most likely FaceTime or video call with their grandparents, my mom and dad or better known as Mimi and Papa Joe, as they were part of the planning for this week’s activities. Until next time!!

I have to say that while Hazel undeniably looks adorable, I so dig Ella’s very boho, relaxed, distinctively-hers style. Give her props and a peace sign from me! And give them both my love and hellos, though that is probably a bit weird coming from someone they don’t know. I am going to descend on you and yours for real sometime in the foreseeable future, because oh my gosh those girls! Obviously for you and meeting Jason, too. But you know how I am with kids, and yours. . . It’s cliché, but it’s going so fast!
