Week 1 Epic Fail Recap—SG’s Workout Plan

I had every intent on trying this week. Even making small changes admittedly is harder than I thought. In terms of diet, I have introduced more fiber, protein and veg and higher water intake. I went on three long walks. I did do some things “correctly”, others were an epic fail. Mid-day hunger is the hardest for me to curb, so much so that three times consecutively I stopped for fast food to satiate my ravenous thoughts or impulsive nerves. It was delicious, for about those first minute or so. Then those other feelings set in, the ones that helpfully don’t set in till after a binge. I will say, that I don’t have that urge anymore that I used to, that overarching pressure that consumes and drives me to purge. Luckily towards the end of the week on Friday, DEC 3rd, I had a scheduled check-in with my Nutrionist, Sarah Gallagher…another SG! I thoroughly enjoy knowing a fellow SG. She helped center me somewhat, counteract some of those thoughts. She assisted in my realization that I can prepare healthier foods. Admittedly I have not been checking in, with these thoughts or impulsivity as much as it has now become a priority. As I begin this second week of SGs Workout Plan, I hope to be a little more successful, a little less impulsive, reaching out to my supports for help when needed, and finally giving myself a break, enjoying the little things and let go.
