MIMI Update

As I write, I am happy to report Mom has been released from the second round of hospitalizations. She is home, on a long laundry list of medications, new proceedures, and oxygen. She has some residual pain still from the pulmonary emboli which are not completely broken up. She will take Coumadin to thin the blood, and prescribed oxygen to assist her. I wish she had taken advantage of some intensive acute therapy, but she wished to be released home. She will get home health assistance and therapies out of the home. Dad and my brother, John have been working hard to care for her since her release. She was just released mid week and has a lot of recovery still to manage. I am thankful that she continues to improve everyday. So for now, not much to report which is good news. I am back in Florida and readjusting. It has been incredibly difficult readjusting to normal mom duties, GAL obligations, Coaching Lacrosse, Work, NAMI volunteering, and whatever else flew into my radar. I am glad I had the chance to get home and be helpful. I am needed back now where I am. Home with my lovely girls and sweet hubby.
