Fleming Island Lax coaching, Season #2

Fleming Island Lax coaching, Season #2

I am assistant coaching lacrosse this year for the 14U and 12U girls lacrosse local rec league. Last year I head coached the 12U team. This year I had the ability and time to be part-time assistant coach for Fleming Island Lacrosse. The girls have had a great season so far, losing two out of the last 5 games. I love love love coaching these girls, but even more so LOVE watching Ella enjoy the sport. She has progressively improved her skills the past two seasons. She even took a shot on goal at last weekend’s game.

I spend most practices on defensive drills and goalie training. The goalie, her name is Chloe, has improved immensely this season. Her reaction time and form has increased, she is stopping more and more tough shots. I am so proud of how the team is coming together and bonding. Chloe the goalkeeper takes instruction well, is respectful and always come to practice ready to rock.

Here is a pic of Ella, haven’t got one of the full team quite yet. I am loving every minute of reliving my teenage years and young adult hood playing the sport.
