We had another jam packed weekend. Beach on Saturday with friends, Lax coaching and Ella’s playing Goalkeeper, church, chores, gym twice this weekend, laundry, mommy’s office re-org, cooking, more laundry. Back to the grind tomorrow after so much family fun. Sometimes having so much going on makes the weekend seem so short. I had some downtime, some. Not as much as I would like at times. We had good fun though. A little sunburn from the beach time, as we missed some spots. Jason did not partake in the beach fun, even with his good buddies coming along. He strongly dislikes anything having to do with sand, after all his tours in the Middle East. I try to level with him about the beach, hanging out with friends and family. He is a hard one to change on this one. He stayed behind enjoying the AC and even ventured out to mow the lawn. Today Ella had a lacrosse game, and volunteered to jump in goal. She can play any position and excel. She had some stellar saves. The 14u Girls team also played and won their game 12-6. The girls had zero subs, and played their little hearts out. Church was exciting, we all are gearing up for the season as Jason is preparing for Confirmation. I am so proud of him for sticking with it, sacrificing the Sunday sleep ins for 9am wake ups and 10 am mass. Life has shifted with jason transitioning from the Navy world. Having our faith grow as a family has been a tremendous support. We have become a part of a wonderful community. I am so incredibly happy to be renewing my own faith and practicing. The girls are starting to understand the importance of having those values and faith as part of their lives. Since I was young and especially into my early adult hood… my faith was such an integral part of my life. Seeing it grow with my family is such an amazing and unexpected gift. I feel that so much is coming together, even as the road before us becomes difficult to travel.
