It has been a great time with the Ashworth clan this weekend. They came down Thursday for the holiday weekend to witness Ella’s RCIA Catholic baptism and Communion this evening at the church. My parents, my siblings, my nephew and the dog, Max all came down from Baltimore, Maryland for the occasion. They booked an Air BnB in Fleming Island that is beautiful and has been such a great experience. Aunt Sandie and Uncle Gino came up from Orlando as well. Just by happenstance, our long lost cousins in Jacksonville came by for a lunch today. It was amazing talking about family, thumbing through photo albums and telling stories. My cousin Terri, lives about 40 minutes from here, and I had no inkling of any family being in the area until a short year ago. I have loved every minute of spending time with my brother John and sister Alexa, especially with my nephew, baby Penn who is 19 months old. He is so sweet. We danced and bonded over some Paul Simon. Baby Penn is the youngest in the Ashworth family. My mom has enjoyed being with all of her grandkids simultaneously. I am so over the moon excited to spend so much precious time with my family. Jason has been a good sport and will be cooking the Lamb for Easter. The girls will have an egg hunt at the Air BnB and an additional egg hunt tomorrow at the church. Tonight is the special event of Easter Vigil. It’s a three hour event at least. Ella will be baptized, and submerged in the baptismal fountain this evening. After which I will rush out to get her changed into her beautiful white gown. So proud of doodle and the young woman she is becoming. More to come on the night and pictures of sweet Ella Caroline.
