My best friend in the universe, Paige, came to visit from DC on a business trip to LA for the week. I couldn’t miss the opportunity to see her while she was in town. I drove up Friday night in the midst of terrible rush hour traffic to meet her at her hotel on Sunset Boulevard. We went to a great sushi place around the corner with her co-worker Alfred. We had a sushi feast! Halibut, Tuna, Salmon, Sea Urchin, Shrimp, you name it, we probably ate it. The desert was really cool, I can’t remember the name of it…Mulchi? It was like ice cream sort of.
Woke up early the next morning to do my run in Venice with my Aunt. It was a difficult run and I was so happy when it was over.
I picked up Paige around 12 from the hotel and we went on our way for another adventure. We drove from Sunset Blvd to Malibu Beach. After stopping at some Mexican stand on the way we were on our way to the Malibu State Park.

After driving through the park and realizing we couldn’t drive any further we turned around and headed for the M street Cafe outside LA. It was a cute little place. I played on the computer while Paige talked to her boss on the phone for almost 2 hours. What could you possibly have to say to your boss that would take that long?
Then we headed for the Grove, in West Hollywood. We did a little shopping and the best part was the farmer’s market right outside. We bought some veggies, seafood, olives, and ate some Brazilian BBQ for dinner.

We drove to Hermosa Beach for the night to stay with a friend of a friends. That morning she woke me up way to early to attend a modern worship center called “Agape” for the morning worship and meditation. After that I felt better, more relaxed. It was definitely a different experience.
From there we went to the Third St. Promenade in Santa Monica for breakfast. We found a little place called Acadie Crepes where they served breakfast and dessert crepes. It was very, very good.

Well after a fun filled weekend I dropped Paige off at her Bed and Breakfast in Santa Monica.

It sounds like you and Paige had an excellent weekend. That’s wonderful to hear, I know how important she is to you, and it must be hard to be so far away from her. I guess that you enjoy the good times while they last, right?
