Wow. It has been forever since I have last posted a blog update. Well to update, I have been in California now for almost a year now. I love working for NAMI San DIego, I have been there about 6 months now. We just had our Annual Inspiration Awards dinner this past Friday night.
Yesterday we went to the pool and jacuzzi for part of the day, took Bailey to Balboa Park, and then came back to make dinner and watch a movie.
Today consisted mostly of football! But I did take advantage of the nice weather, or heat wave, and get out for a run with Bailey in the afternoon.
We have been having beautiful weather recently in San Diego. It is funny how in Southern California you cannot really recognize a season change. It is just sunny, 70s, amazing, simply put. I have been running in the mornings with Bailey most mornings, but as the sun is rising later in the morning I have been having to adjust my schedule more and more.
I am training for my first half marathon about 30 days away, November 14th. It is along the beach and a nice flat course. Eventually…I will be running my 4th full marathon next year, the LA Marathon at the end of March. So I still have a few months left to prep for that.
I have to be careful however, I recently injured my hip-flexor muscle by over-extending it while doing some weighted reverse lunges. I have been taking it easy this week and only ran three times this week opposed to my usual six times.
On another note I have some exciting news from the home front that I will share in tomorrow’s post, I keep in touch with the family pretty much everyday and those knowing the Ashworth’s there is never a dull moment with us. So stay tuned for that.

Finally I found you …I thought you ran of the face of the earth ..Still running are you ..good luck on the the 1/2 marathon in Nov…And 4 Marathons under your belt …Glad your with NAMI ..you help then and they help you..How are you moods ? Meds are doing OK ? Let me here from you at DS or e-mail
Hugs ..your “OLD” Buddy….
