Well I woke up this morning and my biological alarm didn’t wake me up until 6:45 am. After a quick breakfast of oatmeal and orange juice, I was off for my morning run. I went down to Liberty Station, where I did my long run last weekend. It also happens to be where I have my weekly meetings for Weight Watchers on Saturday mornings. So I did a quick few miles before it got too hot. I promised myself that I would take my camera along more for my runs so that you, the reader, could experience what I see when I am running. There are some amazing views along the bay at Liberty Station. This first picture was around Mile 1, of the trails that I began running this morning.

One problem I have had all week, and continued to plague me in the beginning of this run, was my right leg. I have tried resting it as much as possible. I have tried stretching, ice, everything. It is not healing. I ran on it still today. It was very tight the first mile. More specifically, my right hip flexor is injured after I did too many lunges this past monday night. Well after taking it slow today, it still hurt as I warmed up but I continued running, mile 2…mile 3….mile 4….
I took this picture of a plane taking off, when I reached the end of my run, the airport is just across the channel.

Finally, I finished though I was in a rush to get to my meeting. I made sure I stretched. And stretched. I was still hurting. With the race about 7 days away I have alot of work to do to be able to complete it. Well even run it for that matter.
Here is a picture I took at the beginning of the run, as I was starting off. I thought of how beautiful this city really is. And I said to myself, Good morning San Diego!
