A time to cast away stones and gather stones together. A time to hate, a time for peace. I think about this song and draw parallels to my favorite book, A Tale of Two Cities. The dichotomy of the times. After I am reminded of how long ago I re-read Charles Dickens’ classic I am immediately grounded. As time passes by, seasons changing, I have choose to live in the moment. I choose to laugh, dance and sing with my kids and family. Times of life seeming all too delicate I think about what I can do to change.

I am tempted physically, mentally and emotionally. Even just seeing Jasons pack of cigarettes laying around is a simple reminder. I pick them up, examine it and set it down. What this habit now signifies to me, negativity, and idle waste. What everything I try to balance daily, is a game of prioritization, and chess moves. Now, facing some family health issues, realizing my inevitable powerlessness in the face of the unknown. I only wish to continue to live passionately and make choices that I whole-heartedly recognize and perceive as the right move. These times, ‘the Season of Darkness” (Thanks Dickens) I fervently believe will transition and TURN into the Season of Light. How soon will the Darkness fade is unknown. For now I will focus on that promise of Light, hope and possibility. Keep Turning friends, ignore the negative, embrace the dichotomy and hope for a brighter future.

Beautiful! Real life meets hope. 🤗

Also reminds me of Dabrowski’s Theory of Positive Disintegration and CS Lewis’ writings. Dark times don’t mean the end, but an opportunity to seek the Light.
