Take me to church: 12 year anniversary and Wedding Ceremony

Yesterday we celebrated our 12 year anniversary on 7/15/2023 by having our Marriage blessed at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. The ceremony is a rite and sacrament in the Catholic faith. The ceremony itself was beautiful. The church was decorated beautifully. My mom, dad and brother were there. The girls were part of the procession. Our good friends came. Aunt Sandie and Gino came in town for the ceremony. My sweet girlfriend took professional pictures. All in all, I was happy. To have our marriage official in the church I never really thought would be possible. Jason started attending RCIA last year, and became a full fledged confirmed Catholic this past Easter. I am grateful for this day, to be able to celebrate our marriage and our actual anniversary date all at once. It was special, it was simple and elegant. It was exactly what I had hoped for. The Wedding ceremony was an amazing way to celebrate 12 years together as a married couple.

  1. Belated congratulations to you and to your hubby. I know this was something so important to you, and the fact that Jason was willing to convert and make that commitment as an adult is such an amazing display of how very much he loves, respects, and values you—and your shared faith. I love that this is something your girls were able to participate in and will remember.

Blessings to you as you strengthen your union, and continue to grow together as a couple and a family! 💒
