Birthday weekend rewind

Birthday weekend rewind

“Birthday weekend” was amazing.

I came up late Friday afternoon to Crystal City to spend the weekend with Paige and Michael.   I stopped by to see my girlfriend Robin who was working at the shop ( Colleen’s Dream) and gave me the most beautiful earrings for my birthday.  As she walked me out to my car, out of nowhere Brian appears.   We talked for a few had some coffee.   Once  I arrived in C.C. an hour later I promptly got myself ready for a hardcore workout.   The rest of the night we vegged on the couch watching movies and eating Baja Fresh burrito bowls.

Saturday began with a 3 hour workout  (1 hr cardio) (2hr lifting) .  After breakfast and shower I crawled back into bed. Soon after, Paige suprised me for my birthday.  We went to a professional masseuse and had these deep tissue massages done that lasted nearly an hour.  Ive never received a real massage like that before so I was in heaven.  From there we relaxed most of the afternoon.  We drank tea, updated our blogs, read some erotic fiction (you know your jealous), and overall had a relaxing Saturday.   Later in the day we went out to the  $1 sushi place in Old town Alexandria called the “Flying Fish” wish apparently has karaoke, but not last night. I was so stoked bc GARRICK came out with us! It was so great to see him.  Then we hit a couple spots, and this one place I like called “The Light Horse”  http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-light-horse-alexandria#hrid:_Nvw0YfA6T8WzHJ7232PoQ

Next stop was this pub called, Pat Troy’s.   We arrived rather early , but since Paige forgot her ID we had to drive back to Crystal City, then back to Pat Troy’s for more.  They made some kick ass Cosmos, and while Paige tried to get me to talk to this Marine I was too interested in downing the Cosmos and taking shots from the bartender.

After that we headed over to this tappas bar where they had Salsa and Merengue live music.  I loved it.  I danced for a while and had a blast.

Today Paige and I put on our Sunday best to attend mass at the Washington National Cathedral.  It was so freezing outside and being the smart adults we are decided we were not going to were tights with our dresses.   We left halfway through the mass, right after the sermon (by this time mass has already taken 1hour).  After picking up Michael we went to this tiny restaurant that serves brunch.  I had the most delicious egg white omelette with feta cheese and spinach.  For the remainder of the day, just chillin at the Paige pad, doing a little cleaning here and there.

All in all it was an awesome weekend I couldnt ask for better friends.
